Back To Church Sunday 2010 is on 26 September 2010

He said to them ‘Come and see'

Do you realise that Back To Church Sunday is the largest global invitational event and it can happen at a venue near to you?

Welcome to the 2010 Back to Church Sunday page on the Diocese of Rochester website.

There are over 4,000 churches taking parting in Back to Church Sunday across the UK this year, and hundreds more internationally.
Below is the list for those churches participating in 2010 and t
his year we have just over 70 churches particpating - just under a quarter for the first time which is encouraging.

Be on camera!
Would you like us to capture your Back to Church Sunday on camera? We are looking for churches who would like us to take photographs and film. We would love to hear from you if you’d like to take part. Please email team@backtochurch.co.uk who will contact you.

The closing date for ordering packs was 15 June 2010 and people, who order after the supplies have run out, will be encouraged to sign up for BTCS 2011. Others have returned whilst some are having a rest! I look forward to receiving the feedback from the national Back To Church Sunday team after 26th September.

Meanwhile, if you have any queries about Back To Church Sunday 2010

please email me at btcs@rochester.anglican.org or backtochurchsunday@rochester.anglican.org

Back To Church Sunday values –
• Back To Church Sunday is all about the people who are not here.
• We aim to reach the people who are not here through the people who are.
• We believe success isn’t a percentage, a number or a line on a graph. Success is one person inviting one person.
• We best support success when we all act together as One Big Church: invitation on the ground, invitation in the air – one message on one day.

Back To Church Sunday does this in partnership with Traidcraft and the tea and coffee is sourced and packed in India, the T- shirts the same and then shipped over here. The paper they use is also ethically resourced. This means that we are having a positive impact upon the other side of the world.
